We are proud to announce that internationally recognised patient safety expert Dr. Helen Higham will deliver the keynote Laerdal Lecture at the 38th Congress of the Scandinavian Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine in Reykjavík in June 2026. Her lecture, “The Pivotal Role of Anaesthesia in Patient Safety,” will open SSAI 2026 and set the stage for an inspiring congress focused on this year’s theme, “Finding the balance.” We look forward to welcoming delegates from across the world for a dynamic programme of science, collaboration and innovation in anaesthesiology and intensive care medicine.
